Chapter 31: Return of the Fallen

Hai Eden Mars! Customary topless shot for the ladies there ; ) He's so pretty isn't he? His life must be so fun and fufilling- I can't imagine him ever having a care in the world...



Oh, that's right, there was the small matter of his wife, father, mother, and daughter popping their clogs recently in a very short space of time... eep.
These incidents proved very trying for Eden's personal happiness, but worse for me and the prospects of somehow continuing the legacy without an heir.



So with time running out for our dashing hero we had to look into getting him a mate, and naturally my first port of call was his rebound girl- Kendra.



No, I do not work that quickly. When Kendra turned up to the house she came with some hefty baggage in tow, about nine months worth. I couldn't actually remember making them try for a baby though, so it left me with the question of whether the baby was in fact Eden's 0_0



There was only one thing to do though, and that was wait. Eden, ever the gentleman, offered Kendra residence for the night and stayed by her side as he waited for the baby to come.



It didn't take too long.



As Eden and Kendra rushed to the hospital he glanced at his friend and wondered- was he about to be a father again? Did he even care? Sure, Kendra was nice enough, but she didn't exactly set his world alight. It all depended on what would be revealed in the birth- the verdict would surely change everything, one way or another.



And the ruling is... the child was indeed Eden's. It was a boy named Castor, who's traits were Couch Potato and Genius.



Following the birth nothing really changed for Eden and Kendra. They continued to live seperate lives, and officially they weren't even a couple. It was like there was a dark cloud hanging over them that neither wanted to discuss. Love can be a consuming and destructive thing, but the lack of it surely burns worse.



Elsewhere in the house the ghosts of generations past continued to take over the house EVEN THOUGH I'D LOCKED THEM AWAY.
Houdini spirits clearly- I don't know how they're still doing it. But that wasn't the only ghostly glitch going on...



Somehow, the ghost of Harlow had aged to an elder. Honestly.
Care to explain that one to me EA- have a little birthday party six feet under did she?
Hmph.



But there was one ghost around who I was actually happy to see. Only a few days after her untimely death, the ghost of Indie returned for the night.



As soon as he felt her prescence Eden rushed to see his daughter, happy to have her back even if it was just temporary.
But what if it could be more than temporary- what if he could somehow bring her back...?
I think you know where I'm going with this.



That's real cute Harlow- pretend to retch all you want, I'm bringing Indie back. All we have to do is wait for the opportunity, so in the meantime poof off back to your ghostly retirement home mmkay?



Go away Harlow!



So while Eden waited to bring his daughter home he decided to see if there could be any future with Kendra, and when she turned up like this it became clear that the answer was a resounding no.



I know Eden, I feel as unimpressed as you look. Why does this always happen in my game?
At this point I came to a decision. I couldn't have this old woman raising Eden's kid, what if she broke a hip changing a diaper? No, something would have to be done. It was time to call in the big guns...

Is there anything in Da Rulez about not bringing in your Super Simself to kidnap your legacy member's child from an old biddy? (I wouldn't know, I haven't read them in a while...)
Either way, Eden needed my help, and I was only too happy to assist...

Step One: Scope out the joint.



Step Two: Befriend unsuspecting old lady and get invited inside.



Step Three: Compliment old woman on her lovely child, ask to hold him for a minute.



Step Four: Get out the rohypnol and slip a little something into the old lady's tea. Wait until she falls asleep and then make a break for it.



Step Five: Return sprog to his loving home.



Step Six: Get some loving from handsome father type...



What? Like you wouldn't have a go on Eden if you could?

Alright, it is kind of pervy in a way, but I have to have my fun somehow.



Yee-hah.



So with my work done, I sent Super FuryRed back to where she came from.
All in day's work for this Superhero ; )



Right, this chapter has gone off on a bit of a weird tangent, let's get things back to normal shall we?
With Castor now living with Eden he made sure to spend lots of time caring for his son.



And in no time at all it was Castor's birthday.



He grew up cute enough, and gained the Ambitious trait.



As the only family member in Castor's life Eden became crucial in helping his son to grow up well. He always gave his son the care he desired, and in time taught him all the life skills he needed.



Meanwhile Eden continued to work in the military career. He reached level 10 and became an astronaut, thus completing his lifetime wish. Yay : D



Apologies for the lack of pictures of Castor's toddlerhood, but here he is celebrating his birthday.
Apparently I forgot to take a picture of him after he'd changed too... Oops!
In my defense though there were more exciting things going on that night in the Mars household...



Guess who just got a certain opportunity from the science lab? ^_^



Welcome back Indiana!



With his daughter back in his life Eden finally began to feel truly happy again. It was as if her death had never happened, and the twosome were as close as ever.



It was good really, because Eden was the only one who would listen to Indie talk about herself all the time. Snobs eh?



But Eden wasn't the only one happy to see Indie back. Although he had never met her before, Castor became somewhat obsessed with his half-sister, and kept following her... I kept catching him just standing on the other side of the room staring at her o_0



And when I found him watching her going to the toilet, well, that was just a bit much yanno?

Creepy weirdo...



Something to mention by the by- when Indie had turned into a teenager the trait she'd gained was the Daredevil one. I wonder if that somehow contributed to her unfortunate demise?
Anyways, when she came back I changed it to Hydrophobic, cause I can. It seemed appropriate.



So after a while it was time for Castor's birthday, which he celebrated in the garden alone.
I had to wonder if he was out there because he was peeking through Indie's windows at night...



As a teenager Castor turned out alright looks-wise, though with those lips he always looked like he'd just been sucking a lemon. Or something...



Anyways, the following day it was time for Eden's birthday.



Not happy. I don't like it when any of my cutey legacy peeps grow up, but I'm hating this one the most. If I could I'd keep Eden young and pretty forever.



Time for one last look at the beauty before it withers with age.



Well at least Noah and Adelaide's powers of aging gracefully have been passed on. Still, me no likey.
But how did the household react to Eden aging?



My god Indie, that's no way to treat your elderly father.
As close as she was to Eden, Indie still sometimes had trouble suppressing her evilness.



Maybe she was just frustrated though and needed an outlet. You see, Castor's stalking hadn't ceased at all since he had grown up.



He had even taken to waiting for Indie in her bed.
This is just too much...



But, putting worries of incest far from her mind, Indiana at least had friends to distract her from her creepy brother.



Quite a few friends in fact.



She had even grown close to the ghost of Grim, and in turn he began to visit the house more and more often.
Indie seems to have a strange preoccupation with reapers... Maybe it's the Evil trait?



Castor defintely didn't like Grim being around though.
Jealous much? I wouldn't mess with him if I were you; the reapers haven't exactly been taking too kindly to the Mars family in recent days.



So after her teenage years passed pleasantly, with a nice bit of accidental drowning thrown in for good measure, soon it was time for Indie to celebrate her birthday.



Sparkle sparkle.



And here she is as a Young Adult, with the Flirty trait.
Woot! That'll make an interesting change from the recent spate of romantic Sims methinks.



A little treat for you now- thanks to some awesome modtasticness we can see what Indie would look like if she were human.
She's so hawt!



It's tricky really, it kind of makes me wish she was human, though the Ambrosia making would take agggeeesss. Well, unless I got a certain Superhero to help... Hmm.
Let me know what you think yeah- human or ghost Indie?
