Chapter 17: Better Together

Following on from the birth of their first child Alyssa, Christian and Mayana converted one of the rooms in their house into a nursery.



In between caring for his daughter Christian continued with his painting, and finished the portrait of his wife.
It's nice... maybe a little orange...



Elsewhere in the house it was time for Sydney's daughter Persephone to age up into a beautiful toddler...



OHMYGOD.



Erm, don't fret- it's all fixed now. Silly custom clothing being both amazing and annoying in equal parts...
Anyways, this is Persephone as a toddler. As you can see she's inherited her mom's hair and her dad's eyes.



Now that their daughter had grown up a bit her parents both continued to take a part in raising her.
Sydney taught her to talk...



... and Danny taught her to walk.
Soon little Persephone was equipt with all the skills she would ever need.



Ah, there wasn't really a reason for this picture, except for the fact that it was particularly cute. But, while I'm here I might as well tell you Alyssa's traits as I believe I neglected to do this last time. Alyssa is a Light Sleeper, and she Loves the Outdoors.



So, soon enough it was her birthday.



And here Alyssa is as a toddler, with her daddy beginning to teach her how to talk.
Also, whilst I was giving her a makeover, I discovered that ghosts appear human in CAS mode... Shall we see what Alyssa would look like normally...?



You know, she's so cute it's almost a shame that she's a ghost. Almost.



As her parents were as attentive as always, Alyssa soon learnt how to walk and talk in no time flat.



In her free time, Mayana continued to work on her cooking skill. The pregnancy had meant that she'd missed a good bit of work, but she was able to practise her cooking in her spare time and soon mastered the culinary skill.



As Christian was always at home too working on his paintings the couple were able to spend a lot of time together... Usually people might get sick of seeing each other so much, but Mayana and Christian were only too happy to spend every waking second together. And they kept rolling wishes for more children...



I was only too happy to oblige : )



During this pregnancy Mayana decided to go visit her older sister Pandora and see how she was doing. Christian was thrilled to finally meet his nephew Theo, but Mayana seemed to have other things on her mind...



Yes, just a few days earlier Mayana had been watching the cooking channel, and had heard about a recipe called 'Ambrosia'. A recipe that was said to bring the dead back to life...



She knew it wouldn't be easy- she knew she would have to focus all her time on building her skills, but Mayana seemed determined to try.



The following day Mayana went into labour in the kitchen, as you do.



Once again she elected for a home birth, and soon enough those familiar sparkles filled the room.
So, what is it this time...?



It's a boy! His name is Camden and he was born with the Evil and Heavy Sleeper traits. Fun...



Now that the house was beginning to fill up Sydney decided it was time for Danny, Persephone, and herself to move out.



So later that night Danny grabbed their daughter and their belongings, and the little family moved into a place of their own.



Camden's time as a baby passed pleasantly. Christian took the lead in caring for their son as Mayana was often rushing out at night to go fishing...



It wasn't going well though. Each morning Mayana would return home empty handed, and the dream of being able to restore her family seemed to slip further and further away.



On one of these nights whilst Christian waited for his wife's return it was also Camden's birthday.
Apparently I came in with the camera a bit late on this one...



A quick makeover later and here's Camden as a toddler. For an evil little guy he actually looks pretty pleasant.



Now that her son was growing up Mayana decided to spend more time at home caring for him. And so the routine of life skillage lessons commenced once again, with Mayana teaching Camden to talk...



...and Christian teaching him to walk.



On another note, how annoying is it that toddlers can't interact any more? Alyssa and Camden barely know each other : (



It doesn't matter too much anyways, cause soon it was time for Alyssa's birthday.



And here she is as a child after gaining the trait of Genius. Ooh get her...

There you go! I actually think maybe she looks a little bit better as a ghost in this current life stage.



So, it's off to school for Alyssa. Hopefully she wont get teased for being different compared to all the other kids : (



Eventually Mayana was able to go back to work, hurrah, where she was promoted to level 4.



With only one toddler left to look after, Mayana and Christian were free to spend some time together out of the house for once. And, on another note, look at Christian's arms! I don't remember him being that buff when he and Mayana first met. Then again, he had recently starved to death at that time so maybe that's understandable.



So, after a lovely dinner together the couple headed home to do what they do...
Honestly they keep rolling wants for more children so it's not my fault.



They next day Mayana was pregnant again, and looking like she may never get back to work full time. But, nevermind.



As usual Christian was ecstatic to hear that he had another child on the way.



And in case you're wondering why Mayana is in her underwear at this time, it's because I missed the window for getting her into her customised maternity outfit, and the default one was just terrible.



Over the next couple of days Mayana's baby bump just got bigger and bigger, until it was that magic time again...



Labour.



As always Christian was on hand to be supportive and, yanno, scream and panic and stuffs.



But once he gathered himself together Christian took Mayana to the hospital.

Grr, default maternity outfit...



Sooooo this time around it's another boy. His name is Xanthi and he is a Virtuoso and Brave.



And that's where we'll leave it for today.
