Chapter 35: A Matter of Life and Death

Ah Mitch and Indie; one of my favourite ever Sim couples. They're so cute together aren't they? What's that, you don't care about them? You just want me to stop this week-long tension and tell you who Bronx's father is? Oh, alright then. Let's have a look at the little guy and see if you can figure it out...



The eye colour is definitely Indie's but the features are alllll dad.



Aww, like father like son. I trust this is the result you were hoping for? : )



So with Bronx all cute and toddlerfied Indie got to work teaching him to talk and that.



What you talking about Indie?

Gotta love Bronx's confuzzled face :P



Anyways, Mitch was very much a hands-on dad and made sure to spend lots of time with his son.



Even Aunt Crimson looked in on the kid every now and again. Ahh, tis like one big happy family unit.
Well, most of the time...



No Mitch, don't do it!



You should be ashamed of yourself, stealing candy from your own son! Although, this is a house of mostly evil Sims after all, and certain acts of wickedness are to be expected.



Deary me... haha.



Oh, do you like Mitch's new t-shirt by the by? It was made by my friends over at The Mare's Nest in honour of my FuryRed Says blog. I'm sure Mitch wont mind being coerced into a bit of advertisement ; )



So, whilst Mitch, Indie, and Bronx were content in their little family unit, it was time to get on with completing Crimson's lifetime wish. Let's get cracking with the knacking!



Currently we stand at six boyfriends down (no pun intended) four to go. Harold here made number seven.



Well, until he was unceremoniously dumped of course.



We really are into some high-speed shagging and shafting territory atm, so in that spirit Crimson got another boyfriend later that same day. Irving is number eight... what is that name all about?



Time to break hearts once again.



A brief reprieve from the whirlwind romance-a-thon now with a cute picture of Bronx.
Aww, nice. Right, back to the sex! (I mean woohoo).



Conquest number nine here is Nawwaf. Seriously. My god.
I really need to download that mod that generates better names for NPCs and townies...



So yeah, on with the train of pain! Nawwaf's time in Crimson's *loving* affections was over, and it was time for him to get chucked.



Barely a few Sim hours later and Crim got her hands on the final victim- a guy named Claude. She asked him to be her boyfriend, and with that her lifetime wish was complete!



She dumped him not long after, not because she had to, but because I wanted her to. I have other plans for Crimson you see...



By now the Mars household was littered with Crimson's exes roaming the halls and howling like lost souls. I would feel bad for them, but I have more important things to do.



Hai Nate, nice to see you again ^_^



Yes, now that Crimson had completed her lifetime wish I figured it was time to continue the Mars/FuryRed bloodline by getting her knocked up. Oh yeah.



Twenty-four Sim hours later the baby bump arrived.



As Crimson's tummy grew and grew she prepared for her impending motherhood and let Nate know he was soon to be a dad.



Most expectant mothers usually read books and shiz, but Crimson did DIY : p

Eden used to be my handyman, but ever since he died everything's gone to crap so I needed someone to fill his place. Crim's pretty good- she has a level 4 skill.



Soon enough it was labor time. Let's see what we've got shall we...



It's a girl! She was born with the Neurotic and Grumpy traits, and her name is Blaze FuryRed.
As you can probably tell by now I'm deciding to use somewhat unusual names for the Fury bloodline. Suggestions are always welcome : )



So, as little Blaze here is outside of the legacy rules, being descended from a pre-made and all, I was able to age her up almost immediately. The baby stage sucks yo.
Anyways, care to see our girl as a toddler?



So adorable, if not a little moody, and a clear example of how crap genetics are in this game (no one in this family has ever had green eyes until now).



As usual the whole life skillage lessons began, yadda yadda yadda.



Elsewhere in the house it was time for another birthday, as Bronx prepared to age into a child.



Little sparklyness (please stay cute, please stay cute).



Aww he's sweet, though he does remind me slightly of an alien O_O
Bronx gained the Perfectionist trait.



Now that Bronx was a bit more grown up I decided to make over Eden's old room so he could have his own space. It's not very kiddy themed I know, but that's not really my style.



As a child Bronx was able to spend more time with his parents, and he did so on a regular basis. Bronx and Mitch even had a nice father/son game of catch, bless em.



Of course not everything in the household was perfect. There was a little incident where all the Sims got stuck in their actions and wouldn't move at all, and little Blaze even got frozen in mid-air 0_0



Eventually Blaze was rescued, thank gawd, and Indie made sure to give her niece lots of hugs to make her feel better : )



With her feet back firmly on the ground Blaze was finally able to learn to walk.



Before long Crimson's birthday rolled around, and she transitioned into a Young Adult.



The following day I decided to age Blaze up too, as by now she had learnt to walk and talk and all that jazz.



Sparkly sparkles.



Ooh, not too pudding faced at all (still moody as sin though, as all my legacy kids seem to be).
At this point Blaze gained the Party Animal trait- maybe that will lift her spirits a bit?



Now there were five grown up peoples living in the house I, erm, kind of ran out of bedrooms. The Mars's have enough money to build new ones, I just haven't as yet. Consequently Blaze and Bronx are sharing a room, which is not really ideal...



Yep, Bronx wasn't too happy about it at all, and he wasn't afraid to let it show.
Evil little sod, I wonder where he gets that from...



Oh, that's where.



It wasn't all bad though, and for the most part the cousins got on very well.
They're so awesome aren't they? : D



Speaking of awesomeness, here's Mitch and Indie- still as in love as ever they were.
Yes, things for the Mars household really were wonderful... You're sensing a 'but' aren't you? I warn you- it's a big one...



Oh holy jamalama.



Now I could be accused of maybe having a hand in some of the 'accidental' deaths of my Sims, but I should just say I had absolutely nothing to do with this one. Crimson's repaired loads of items before- I thought she'd be fine. I was wrong.



Oh dear oh dear oh holy crap. This is all kinds of not good.



Still, she makes a rather fetching ghost doesn't she?
(No, I'm not bringing her back).



Oh, and to add insult to injury- check out the Reaper that rocked up to the occasion.
What's up Grimmy, casual Friday at work was it? Sheesh.



RIP Crimson FuryRed- I shall miss thee!



Poor poor Blaze, what is it with death stalking my Sims these days? If any more of them pop their clogs I really wont be impressed...
Well, guess what hap- nah just kidding, everyone else is fine : p



Well, I say fine but Blaze really isn't. I can hardly blame her- she's just lost her mom and she hasn't actually ever met her dad, but at least she has her loving Auntie and Uncle to look after her. Time heals all wounds as they say.



The show must go on! In that spirit, the family gathered to celebrate Bronx's birthday.



At least one person looks happy...



Customary sparkles and...



Ooh hello there. Is it just me, or is Bronx looking more and more exotic as he ages? Mmm.
