Chapter 37: Inferno

Blaze FuryRed and Bronx Mars have everything going for them. They're beautiful, rich, and content in every way except one. You see, Blaze and Bronx are related, but that doesn't stop Blaze from being madly in love with her cousin.



Haha look what they're watching- I bet you can guess what Blaze is thinking right now.



Ahh what can you do though? Bronx is entirely ignorant of his cousin's wants, being more interested in the other Sim ladies in the neighbourhood as he is.
This here is Kennedy- someone Bronx used to make out with when he was a teen.



Naturally now that they're both grown up Bronx and Kennedy have some things to catch up on ; )



Ah, I guess Blaze is still having trouble coming to terms with Bronx's relationships...



Each time Blaze saw Bronx with another woman she couldn't help but feel sick. It made her heart ache to know that she would never be with the man she loved, but what upset her most was the fact that she didn't have the guts to do anything about it.
Instead of acting Blaze chose to just push the pain deep down, and keep herself busy with her favourite activities. It didn't ease the torment, but its effect was less bitter- for now.



Sadly though things weren't about to get any better for Blaze as the household received some news that would distress her, but elate me.
Bronx is now a father.
I know I know, who's the mother? Well you may remember Bronx's lover from the last chapter- Ciara? Well, she just bore him a child. Ooh-er.



The news didn't exactly mean much to Bronx, in fact he barely noticed, but it did provide me with a very nice loophole...
You see, according to the legacy rules, the challenge ends when the first baby of the tenth generation is born, so I have officially finished the legacy challenge. Yay me. Howevers, I'm not quite finished yet. I'm going to continue to play and write the legacy for a while, but with one important difference: no rules.
This can mean only one thing...



Pre-mades.



Sapphire here is a Sim I made not too long along who I reckon is perfect for Bronx... almost.
As you can see they have very clashing traits; he of the Commitment Issues and she of the Hopeless Romanticness. However, why should that stand in the way of them having a good olde time?



Ah, perhaps you should wait until the last conquest is out of the house before you start on the next one Bronx?



Aww, maybe it would be kinder to wait until Blaze is out of the way too?



Stricken by seeing Bronx with yet another hot piece of hmm, Blaze found herself inviting her old friend James over.



She kissed him but it ended there- Blaze couldn't imagine giving herself to James when she was in love with someone else.



Bronx on the other hand had no problem with conflicting feelings, as he was more than happy to cosy up to Sapphire having only just spent the night with Kennedy.



Bad boy (but oh-so-sexeh).



Meanwhile, whilst Bronx and Saph were making out, Blaze was in her room doing this 0_0



She looks like she's having some sort of seizure, but really she's just doing some more of her funky dancing.
Hey, if it keeps her mind off Bronx that's fine by meh.



Besides, she looks mega-cute when she's getting her groove on ^_^



Elsewhere in the house Bronx was doing was he does best. Filthy mare...



In the morning Sapphire was gone and Blaze was continuing to bury her feelings. Meanwhile, Mayana the ghost continued to harass me all the live-long day. She's been in the house for like two weeks now, and it's driving me mentalist. But the ghosts refusing to leave isn't the only weird thing going on at the moment...



Er, Blaze? Blaze? What are you doing hun?



You know I wish I could say this is my fault, but it's alllllllll freewill baby.



Ahh dear, a sad day in the house now as Mitch passes on. He was a cool member of the family, even though he technically never married in.



Oh my gawd what is with the ruddy Reapers in my game? I haven't had a normal clothed one for, well, as long as I can remember now.



Speaking of not being normal, Indie is that really an appropriate way to react to your partner's death?



Ah, you see- even evil lovegod Bronx managed to shed a few tears over his dear dad's passing.



INDIE!



Nevermind Bronx, at least there's one person who's willing to help you through this tough time.



That's it Bronx, resting against Blaze's giant knockers will ease your troubles.

Ahh, it's nice that the family can all be there for each other, because it's about to get rough...



So you may know that, ever since Eden died, I've been lacking a little handyman in my house. His last replacement was Crimson, but she, erm, died of electrocution.... You'd have thought I learnt my lesson after that. Apparently not.



Hmm...



Yes, poor little Blaze (who, I should point out has repaired numerous items before) had a bit of an unfortunate accident in this respect, and promptly caught on fire. With her assets aflame she immediately ran for the shower, whilst back in the hallway everything was going a bit wrong...



Oh crap.



These three idiots decided to just freak out in in their jimjams and generally be completely useless.
Come on Bronx you're my beefcake, a bit of heroism yeah?



Blaze on the other hand was in there like swimwear; being a Brave Sim and all she had no hesitation is whipping out the fire extinguisher and saving the day.



In time disaster was averted and everything was back to normal in the house. Bronx and the others wandered off to amuse themselves elsewhere, and I did something deeply, deeply stupid...



Hands up if you're the biggest moron in the room?

....Just me then?



Yes, foolishly I decided to make Blaze have another go at repairing the stereo. It didn't go very well...
After putting herself out in the shower once again, Blaze returned and promptly started spraying Indie down with the fire extinguisher. I didn't even know Sims could do that til now.



Meanwhile Bronx also caught on fire O_O
Don't worry, I directed him to the shower to save himself.



Next up, Sapphire caught on fire too, but instead of helping her Blaze just stared at her and smiled. Creepy girl...
Eventually she was persuaded to put her out too.



In time Blaze rose victorious over the evil fire that decimated the Mars household, and peace was restored.



Erm, who invited the creepy headless Grim Reaper...?



Oh crap.



Yes, sadly amidst all the panicking Bronx became a quite literal hunk of burning love, and he, erm, burnt to death...
Naturally Blaze wasn't about to let her secret crush just die like that, so she challenged the Reaper to a game of chess.



I think you can tell from her expression how it went...
But fear not dear reader, I have a plan (I always do).



You see, ever since Crimson died the Mars's have been getting the 'Oh My Ghost' opportunity on a semi-regular basis, and I chose to just accept it for now in case I ever needed it. Thank gawd.
With a quick trip to the science lab, Bronx was a member of the household once again.



Although he does look rather snazzy as a ghost, Bronx is simply too hawt to remain transparent all the time. Luckily, Blaze had a plan to bring him back...



Super FuryRed to the rescue!



Yes, as soon as Blaze rang Super FuryRed was there like a shot and ready to help out her granddaughter. Being the ghost expert that she is, Sim Fury was pre-prepared and ready to cook up some Ambrosia.



Before long, Bronx had eaten a hearty meal and was getting all glowy, as you do.



And voila- the lovely Bronx is back to normal.
Considering the hype this fire death thing had on my blog, the result isn't very dramatic : p



Now that Bronx was back and all human-shaped Blaze could barely contain her excitement. She'd worked so hard to keep Bronx alive, now she could only pray he would recognise and reward her efforts. Sadly for Blaze, Bronx wasn't as grateful as she had hoped...

I'd just like to take a second to apologise for what you're about to see.



Oh Bronx you're amazing, you're just like I wrote you'd be!

Oh Super FuryRed you're the best, I don't even care that you slept with my granddad!



Nargh I know, I'm terrible.
Before Sim Fury could cause any more trouble I shipped her back off to the realms of my studio, where she can now be downloaded as a household.

Back in the household, Bronx managed to put some clothes back on after his tryst and Blaze finally got the hug she so deserved.



For the next few days things continued as normal in the Mars house.
Careers-wise Blaze is a police officer and at level 4 in the field. Bronx is still a politican, but being dead meant he had to start from the beginning again so he's only at level 2.



Love-wise Bronx is still being a bit of a cad, making his way through the beds of the female members of the community as he does. Blaze is still pining, and refusing to progress with her own love-life in any way.



Aww, speaking of love (of a platonic nature in this case) it's time for Indiana to go.
Gutted- Indie was ace.



Er, what? Can I get a normal Reaper, please?



Having lost her mother when she was only a child, Blaze had grown close to Indie and regarded her as a parent. Now, with her gone, Blaze couldn't help but feel lonely.



Once again Blaze started sleeping in Bronx's bed, just enjoying the illusion of being close to her love despite lacking in real intimacy. But this compulsion could not go on for long though, as things were about to change...



Despite his Commitment Issues, Bronx and Sapphire had grown close and Bronx had even accepted her as his girlfriend. The relationship stood to go much further than that, as Saph soon moved into the house.



Aww, poor Blaze. It breaks my heart it really does.



As a fully paid-up member of the Mars household Saph arrived already employed in the Military career, and began to work on her athletic skill.



But did you really think his relationship with Saph would make Bronx change his ways? Of course not- Bronx was as seductive and callous as ever he was (even whilst wearing his nerdy work uniform).



As soon as Sapphire stepped out the door to go to work each morning, Bronx was in the bedroom with his latest floozy.



Not that Saph noticed of course. No, as a Hopeless Romantic she was completely besotted with Bronx and blind to his naughty antics.



So blind in fact, that she felt ready to propose to him.



What really shocked me was the fact that Bronx said yes! That definitely looks like a fake smile on his face though.



The following day Bronx told Blaze his news. He saw the shock on his cousins face and smiled as she congratulated him, but for the first time he noticed something else- a certain sadness deep in Blaze's eyes. He couldn't imagine what might be causing her distress.



If Bronx didn't know then he would soon...
With that announcement- with the words ripping the heart right out of Blaze- she knew that she couldn't continue to live a lie. She decided, once and for all, that she would tell Bronx the truth. She was going to tell her cousin that she loved him.



At the weekend the scene was set for the wedding. Guests began to arrive in the early morning, eager to see their friends or family join in matrimony.
Inside the house the players took their places.



Sapphire put on her wedding dress and prepared to greet everyone; excited that she was soon to join her life with the man she loved.



Bronx's feelings were casual at best. He wondered why he was going through with this when it was so out of his nature, but he knew that, whatever happened, it would not change him.



Blaze paced the four walls of the bathroom, itching with nerves and dreading that moment when she would confess all.



Thirty minutes before the wedding was due to start, Blaze grasped Bronx feverishly by the hand and pulled him into the bedroom. She stood in front of him; limbs trembling, throat dry. With a deep breath, she began to speak.



Bronx grew silent as Blaze laid her heart out bare.
