Chapter 19: Wicked Little Girl

As Mayana stood in the kitchen she knew that life was about to change. Thanks to her efforts one member of her ghostly family would be restored to life, but just who had been chosen?



Mayana made sure to take the greatest care when preparing the ingredients. Of course she had a level 10 cooking skill but, at times like this, you can never be too careful. Besides, it didn't help when her mind kept drifting- wondering whether she was doing the right thing; whether the chosen ghost would be happy...



As Christian walked into the kitchen, heeded by his wife's calls, he realised quickly that something was different. Normally everything for this couple was laughter and sillyness, but now she seemed so still; so quiet. He wondered what could be wrong.



And when Mayana told him the truth he could barely believe it- it didn't seem possible. Christian didn't know what to say, so Mayana just gently grasped her husband's hand and guided him to the dinner table.



Without further hesitation, Christian began to eat.



And then he choked a little...

It scared the crap out of me- I thought that was the beginning of the transition : o



After he had finished his meal, Christian gradually began to float up off his seat until he remained transfixed in mid-air. Mayana watched over him tentatively; barely able to move, her eyes fixed permanently on her levitating lover.



Before long a beautiful glow filled the room- slowly at first and then brighter until it became almost blinding.
And the after-effect...?



Life.



Mayana needn't have worried- Christian was overjoyed to be human again after so many years trapped in a translucent shell.



Now the only question that remained was how could he ever thank his wife enough for what she had done? What words could Christian say to make it clear how much he adored her; how grateful he was for the life they had together?



They decided the words could wait.



And so Mayana and her newly-human husband went to bed together. It had happened so many times before and yet... this was different. It seemed so strange to Mayana to feel warm skin pressed against her instead of the usual cool ghost flesh. It was wonderful though.



Later that day Christian made sure he was there for when his children got home. Alyssa and Camden didn't recognise him at first, but as they got closer they saw their father in the man that stood before them.



Christian hugged his daughter tightly, happy at his transition and yet somehow filled with a sombre sadness at the fact that his daughters still remained ghosts. But of course they were still young- they had plenty of time left to restore themselves if they so wished.



Now that he was human Christian basically did all the same things he usually did. He reasoned that it was probably a little late in life to start a career, so he continued to paint.



Mayana was still working her way up through the culinary career, and had even managed to salvage some flame fruit from her mother's old garden so that she could make Baked Angel Food Cake.



And the kids? Well, they just kept themselves amused as always.
Dahlia and Camden had got into the habit of battling it out for hours on the games console, bless 'em.



In addition to this, Camden was also spending a lot of time with his friend January. They became best friends and he was delighted to discover that she was also Evil.



All in all he had no reservations whatsoever about making that move out of the Friend Zone.



The next day it was Xanthi's birthday, so Mayana decided to deafen him with a party horn.



Both parents watched at their middle child aged up before their eyes.



And here's Xanthi as a teenager after gaining the Charismatic trait.



Now he was a teen Xanthi made sure to invite his childhood friend Derick over to the house.



And they became boyfriend and boyfriend : p



A couple of days later it was time for the twins' birthdays, so the family hired out a community lot to party on.



First up it was Jenna's turn to blow out her candles and she jumped into teenagehood with a nice audience watching.



She rolled the Never Nude trait... not sure how I feel about that one.



And here she is in CAS mode so you get an idea of how she looks.
Again I must say that the genes for this generation are excellent.



Next up it was Dahlia's turn to age.



She gained the Flirty trait so I made sure to dress her flesh in something suitably seductive ; )



Now that his two youngest had grown up Christian had completed his lifetime wish to raise five children from babies to teenagers. Good on him.



So the most striking thing about Dahlia as a teen was that her Insane side definately started to show more and more...



She was constantly having battles with her own hand which amused me greatly. Teehee.



Unfortunately her Mean Spirited side became more apparent too, and she particularly enjoyed making fun of her sister. I feel bad for Jenna but it was pretty funny to watch.



Of course there was always one person who she got on with, and that was her older brother Camden.
Dahlia never even considered being mean to him and he never tried to be evil to her, they just had fun together.



Not long after this it was Alyssa birthday and time for her to become a Young Adult.



She rolled the Flirty trait and then decided to move out. I had my reservations about this as it seemed a shame to split up the family unit, but I figured everyone could visit her and it would be fine.



However, it seemed story progression had other ideas. Yes, no sooner than she'd gotten into a taxi the other people in the family found they were unable to invite her over or even talk to Alyssa. I can only assume she'd 'moved town'. Stupid broken story progression.... *grumble*



On a happier note, I'd just like to take a second to thank everyone who bought me gifts. They're so beautiful I peed in my pants a little.

Disclaimer: I did not actually wet myself with joy, honestly...



Ahem, so any guesses as to who Dahlia is tooting her horn at?



It's Camden!



As a Young Adult Camden remained as handsome as ever, though with a slightly larger nose...



As he had gained the Kleptomaniac trait (yay) Camden got himself a job in the Criminal Career and began to improve his athletic skill.



He also invited January over but she was still a teen so he would have to hold off on the hot action for a while.
Cold shower maybe?



Elsewhere in the house there was some lukewarm action instead. Yes, Jenna was getting friendly with a boy from her school named Jason.



Jenna asked him to be her boyfriend, which Jason said yes to.



And they shared a very shy first kiss.



Dahlia was also busy with some altogether more passionate lip-lock fun.
This guy is called Darren.



And this one is James : p



Mayana meanwhile reached the top of the culinary career and thus completed her lifetime wish, wooooooo.
The family also had enough money so that she was able to own the Bistro.



All this happened just in time as the next night it was Mayana's birthday.



Hmm, sad face. I don't like it when my Simmies get all olde timey.



Due to the Ambrosia, Christian wasn't actually due to age up for a little while yet, but he elected to have his birthday now so he could reach the next stage of life with his wife.



Well, I suppose they make a nice old couple : )



Also this night I noticed that January had aged up too, so Camden invited her over and asked her to be his girlfriend.



She said yes because, let's face it, who would reject the lovely stud muffin that is Camden?
Afterwards the couple retired to the bedroom.



The next morning Dahlia invited Jason over to the local swimming pool where she decided to swim in a full ensemble... strange girl.



You see, Jason had been spending a lot of time at the house with Jenna, and in this time he and Dahlia had actually become good friends.



Did I say good? Perhaps that should be great friends... Maybe a little too great.



And so it began, an affair with her sister's boyfriend.
Oh Dahlia, what have you done?
