Chapter 33: What The Future Holds
Indiana Mars was a very lucky girl. Blessed with beauty and talent in abundance and an adoring boyfriend, her life seemed perfect. But it wasn't.
Only a few days earlier Indie had had to deal with the death of her father Eden- her last remaining family member... well, except Castor who I completely forgot about last chapter. Oops! If anyone would like to know- he moved out and is living in the neighbourhood somewhere.
Anyways, since Eden's death Indie felt completely alone, but there was one person left who she could turn to...
Hai Crimson, hows it going?
Indie had built up a strong relationship with her half-sister Crimson even though they hadn't grown up together, and now that both girls were young adults they were able to take their friendship to the next step.
Indie asked Crimson to move in to the family home, and she accepted. Yay!
So for all those Crimson-lovers out there who requested updates on her, I decided to go one better. Enjoy.
Upon moving into the house I was able to discover all of Crimson's traits, and they are Brave, Flirty, Insane, Unlucky, and Athletic. Consequently Crim began to practise improving her skills, and I waited for her Insane side to begin to show...
In the meantime though I set Crimson up with a room of her very own. Well, I say that but my can't-be-bothered-to-decorate-ness means that Crim's sleeping in the very same bed where she was conceived o_O
It's a tad creepy ennit?
Elsewhere in the house Indie had invited Mitch round for some hot 'n' heavy. She was still hurting after the death of her father, and let's just say that the warm embrace of a hot man helped to ease the pain somewhat.
Besides, Mitch was only to happy to help out his lady love. I wonder why... : p
Speaking of Mitch, let's have a proper look at him. Now, I don't mind saying that he's a bit of alright isn't he? And for anyone curious about his traits they are Evil (yay), Brave, Artistic, Couch Potato, and Charismatic. Mmmm, I definitely agree with the last one ; )
Note to self: Must stop perving on hot legacy Sims...
Anyways, as Crimson was Flirty, and in fact had the same Heartbreaker want as Indie, both girls went to the park the next day in order to scope out some action. Just for Crimson mind- Indie's feeling committed... for now.
A first glance around the park left Crimson wanting, as it seemed only the usual brigade of oldies could be seen. Where oh where is everybody?
Ah, protesting. Of course.
As they say- if you can't beat 'em (or in this case, sex 'em). Yeah Crimson, down with police and all that, or is this a protest for the police? Eh, who knows.
So later that night Crimson was finally able to get chatting to a man fella, and his name is Conell. Does he seem familiar to you? He should...
Conell is actually Indie's ex-boyfriend; you may remember her shagging and shafting him last chapter. Sharing men eh girls, it's a bit weird isn't it? Well, I guess if they shared a womb they can share boys. Oh, that's right- different mothers. Ho well!
The following day Crimson invited Conell over, and she began to launch her charm offensive. Come on, you know the drill by now.
First she asked him to be her boyfriend.
Then they bumped uglies.
Then Crimson cruely and viciously ripped his heart out, spat on it, threw it on the floor, and did a little dance on it.
My god Conell, surely you know what these Mars girls are like by now?
Yep they're mean alright, even to the people they heart.
That's probably the least shocked shocked-face I've ever seen...
But though Indie couldn't always fight her desire for evil, mostly she and Mitch shared a perfectly happy relationship, and even her flirty wants were oft times satisfied by a kiss and a screw.
In fact, Indie was so happy she even went so far as to ask Mitchell to move in with her : o
Maybe all that banging her cranium against the headboard shook her brains loose...
After Mitch moved in I gave him a little makeover. Nothing drastic; I just tarted him up a bit.
Mitch's lifetime want was to reach the top of the journalism career, so he got a job in the field and began to improve his writing skill.
Speaking of jobs, when Crimson had moved in she was already employed in the military career, but after a little while she gave this up so she would have more time for her romantic pursuits.
So in no time at all Mitch settled into life in the Mars household. He even became accustomed to all the ghosts wandering around the place, which is more than can be said for me : /
In truth, Mitch fit into the household dynamic so well that Indie began to find she couldn't really imagine herself without him. In the past it had all been about the chase; the game, but now Indie felt like it didn't matter- like there was no winner or loser. Instead there was just the feeling. Love?
Things weren't always perfect though... Naughty evil Indie.
Still, Mitch himself was no angel. Tut tut- evil Sims.... I do love them though : )
And it's not like he was mean to Crimson all the time- in fact most days they got on rather well.
Yes, life for the Mars family was happy and worryfree, but for me it was somewhat different. Those fricking ghosts again- they wont go away, and they keep cooking stuff and leaving moldy plates everywhere. Gah! Maybe I should wait until that new EP comes out and go all Ghostbusters on their asses...
Anyways, so back to the dating scene again and here's Crimson sizing up a new prospect. This is Nate- a Sim made by yours truly. You see, being out of the legacy loop meant Crimson was allowed to tackle as many pre-mades as she liked. I might even make some hotties just for this purpose ; )
Go get him girl.
So once again it was time to get horizontal and do some, erm, organ grinding.
In the morning the time came for Crimson to chuck her conquest, but it didn't really happen. Crimson was still rolling wants to hang out with Nate and I was in no rush to bin him, so I decided to let him stay a while.
Besides, they make a rather attractive couple don't they? My god imagine the children...
Hmm, maybe later.
P.s.- I know some peeps requested that the lovely Crimson be uploaded to my studio, and she now is. Enjoy her, and be sure to let me know how she's doing : )
As the sun rose and set, and each day ticked gradually by, Indiana began to think more and more- and this was not a good thing. If she just let go- just let her heart take her, then maybe she could be happy. Instead her mind called out to her with questions- asking her why she was still with Mitch when she was so close to completing her lifetime want.
It was simple really, Mitch made her feel good; made her feel worthy. He was her equal- she could be as wicked as she liked because she knew he was the same. They were two halves made whole.
Her old life of flings and friction seemed so distant now, replaced by a deep feeling of contentment that touched all aspects of her life. As you can see, Indie's relationship with Mitch had really changed her.
As long as she could keep out the questions it would all be okay, and they could be in bliss. That was all Mitch wanted- to be with Indie- but sometimes it was difficult.
Sometimes Mitch would look into Indie's eyes and see the fear laced there...
He just wished she would tell him what she wanted.
She didn't though- she never did- but she placed the painting above their bed, and somehow that spoke with more volume than words.
When the weekend came Mitchell and Indiana decided to go to the beach for the day- the beach where they had first met.
Mitch took Indie's hand in his as waves crashed quietly in the background. He felt his heartbeat quicken and his mouth turn dry. He had a very important question to ask.
As Indie stared at the beautiful man and the beautiful ring in front of her she didn't know what to say. She knew what she wanted to say, but she was scared. And it was too late. Her mind had started to take over.
She imagined a wedding- a couple joining hands and joining lives, forever.
She imagined the kiss that would seal their fates and bond them together.
She imagined a domestic life- a life of cooking and cleaning and all the things she abhorred.
She imagined the fights; inevitable with the discontent.
She imagined hating the man she loved.
As the scenes played inside her mind Indie knew the truth. She didn't want this.
She was afraid, but she could never tell him that. She had to tell him something though, so she did.
That night when Indie and Mitch returned home they both knew it was over.
Both hearts ached at the seperation that was to come, but for now it was better to just hold on. Just for a little while longer.
Just a bit more bliss.
Afterwards Indie walked Mitch to the door, and tried not to watch as he walked out of her life forever.
He never looked back- he didn't even want to know if she was watching him. It would hurt too much.
How will Indie go on without Mitch by her side, and what flirty adventures will Crimson have? Find out in the next chapter of The Mars Family Legacy, coming soon.
